TV show trailer for The CW‘s The 100, Spacewalker. The mid-season finale, of The 100‘s second season, brings a huge caveat to the exhale ending of episode 7, ‘Long into an Abyss.’ Clarke (Eliza Taylor) – with a whole lot of championship level assists – managed to prevent open war; but may now have a much more insurmountable task, in securing the peace. That problem shares a root with the pending hostilities, in the form of Finn (Thomas McDonell).

In the wake of a Grounder massacre, Clarke’s sentimental attachments, and moral reservations, would be a deal breaker. For Grounder Commander, Lexa (Alycia Debnam Carey), wiping out the survivors of the Ark would be the only alternative to Finn being handed over, to pay (in a likely very long & brutal fashion) for his crime.

The title ‘Spacewalker’ is a reference to the background circumstance, leading to Finn’s inclusion in the original one hundred Exile program; so some detail on the character. Finn may yet play “the needs of the many” card, thus sparing Clarke the burden, while also providing the most expedient way of redeeming his character; but expect most of the agonizing to be done by Clarke.

‘Spacewalker’ also features Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos, Paige Turco, Isaiah Washington, Henry Ian Cusick, Lindsey Morgan, Devon Bostick, Christopher Larkin, Jarod Joseph, Ricky Whittle, Kendall Cross, Eve Harlow, Richard Harmon, Ty Olsson, Aleks Paunovic, Adina Porter, Johnny Whitworth, Rekha Sharma, and Raymond J. Barry. It airs Wednesday, Dec. 17, at 9:00pm EST, on The CW.
