12 Monkeys gets Series Order from Syfy. 12 Monkeys is moving forward as a TV series at a channel known great science fiction television shows. 12 Monkeys is based on Bruce Willis starring and Terry Gilliam directed-film from 1995. The show was given a 12-episode pick and will premiere in January 2015.

Natalie Chaidez (V) serves as showrunner and executive produces alongside Atlas Entertainment’s Charles Roven and Richard Suckle. Jeffrey Reiner directed and executive produced the pilot.

On plot of the TV show:

12 Monkeys…follows the journey of a time traveler (Aaron Stanford) from the post-apocalyptic future who appears in present day on a mission to locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will eventually decimate the human race.

12 Monkeys will also star Amanda Schull, Noah Bean, and Kirk Acevedo.
