6 Days Trailer 2 Features Jamie Bell Against Terrorists

The second movie trailer for 6 Days has been released by Icon Film Distribution. The first movie trailer to 6 Days was a promo for a generic action film. This movie trailer showcases a far better film with multiple storylines and competing agendas. The original trailer was bare-bones compared to this trailer.

I was very young when the Iranian Embassy in the United Kingdom was occupied by terrorists in 1980. True crime films like these are becoming more and more prominent on movie studios’ slates for upcoming films. Since terrorists are such an ever present threat in the modern world, we should expect to see more films featuring them.

The terrorist leader in this 6 Days trailer is given almost as much screen time as the police chief. The terrorist leader in 6 Days, I wouldn’t say that he is humanized, but he is shown not to be a complete monster. The police chief and the terrorist leader both have their goals. One of them is manipulated by the British government to end the hostage situation in a particular way.

I was surprised that the police chief was resistant to what the British government asked of him. Also given more dimensions in this 6 Days trailer (how other characters perceive him, his abilities, and his mental state) is Jaime Bell‘s character. Hopefully the viewer will see these qualities in his actions throughout the narrative of 6 Days.

6 Days’ plot synopsis: “In 1980, the Iranian Embassy in London was the victim of a terrorist attack. There was a standoff that lasted six days until a group of SAS soldiers breached the embassy to end the attack. This film…follows the events of that attack and the six days leading up to its liberation from terrorists.”

Toa Fraser‘s 6 Days stars Mark Strong, Abbie Cornish, Emun Elliott, Nicholas Boulton, Martin Shaw, and Tim Downie.
