Hayley Atwell Reveals What Season 3 of Agent Carter Would Be

ABC delivered a huge blow to fans of Marvel’s TV series Agent Carter when the network decided to cancel it after two seasons. Main star Hayley Atwell is with fans on the sudden cancelation, so the actress revealed what would’ve happened if there was a third season.

According to ComicBook.com, Hayley Atwell spoke with attendees at the Heroes & Villains Fan Fest in London last weekend on the demise of the adored series. Atwell said that if Agent Carter did get picked up for another season, the show would’ve explored Peggy’s upbringing and the lasting effect that her brother had. With that in the background, the new season would’ve also go more deep into Peggy’s relationship with the Jarvis family, which was something that Atwell said she wanted to explore.

Even though the second season left fans on a cliffhanger with some unsolved plot holes, Atwell had no idea what direction the show was heading. She said that the script would be updated during production, which has kept the cast on high alert. For example, Atwell said that she didn’t know that Chad Michael Murray’s character Thompson would be shot in the end of season two until he told her. Fans have been asking for the show to be picked up at Netflix, but it was already ruled out. At least we know what her fate was in the events of Captain America: Civil War. Perhaps we may see more of her in flashbacks in future films set in the past.

All we can do is leave it up to the imagination on what could’ve possibly happened to Peggy. Maybe one day, we can find out who she got married to.
