First Images of Chloe Bennet in Costume as Quake in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. For Skye, she is about to embrace her Inhuman side as Quake based on these images of her new suit for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s third season. With Chloe Bennet in costume, we can say it looks amazing.
The third season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is going to focus on the formation of the Secret Warriors with Quake as the leader. Marvel has revealed the first official images of Chloe Bennet dressed up in a new tactical suit as comic book character Quake. The costume looks to be both faithful to the source material and it looks good on the character. Chloe Bennet spoke with the LA Times on the costume, saying that she had some input on the creation of Quake’s outfit. “It was really, really fun to put it on. With the inner geek in me – and growing up with six brothers – I was never really interested in being the princess. I was more into being someone who kicked…and was a superhero. So, that was a dream come true,” said Bennet. “It was cool to be a part of the process in helping to design the outfit.”
The design came from costume designer Ann Foley, who drew inspiration from other costumes on the show and from the comics. Here’s what she said on the process for creating the costume and her motivations behind it:
It’s about strength. She feels very empowered in it…That’s what was important to me, that she felt empowered to me. I wanted to stay true to some of the designs I saw in the comics. In the style lines, I wanted to pay a little bit of a tribute to her tactical ability from last season, but we also incorporated the Quake symbol into her gauntlets and on the back of her suit.
