TV show trailer & clip for ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Spacetime. With the Inhuman arms race ramping up, Agents takes a look ahead, with one of the more novel flash-forward gimmicks of the genre. In failing to keep HYDRA from snatching an Inhuman right out of her grasp, Daisy’s (Chloe Bennet) brief contact with him grants her a vision of the future. It’s not good – the genre mandates as much. While it’s left unclear how much of the promo’s content will be present, versus future, some definite upgrades appear to be on the way – at least, for the bad guys.
The notion that Coulson (Clark Gregg) always has a plan has become something of a series banner, for fans; but this time around (perhaps due to Daisy spoilers), he seems to be the one on the outside of someone else’s master plan – with little more than the knowledge that it exists. The good news, however, is that Team Coulson finally gets eyes on one of those upgrades: a pair of ghosts – an old one for Coulson, a new one for Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) – in a single form.
Hive will be upgrading its Ward (Brett Dalton) suit from shut-in casual, to Matrix-chic, for a little sit-down with Gideon Malick (Powers Boothe). When one of the most powerful men on Earth gets schooled in what true power is, by way of a world-ending immortal, it’s bound to make him a little uneasy. Having Hive turn out to be all he had hoped, after all, may yet leave Malick with a sense of buyer’s remorse. The mortal power he does have, however, looks to at least get him shoulders deep in the upgrade cookie jar.
‘Spacetime’ features Ming-Na Wen, Elizabeth Henstridge, Henry Simmons, Luke Mitchell, Mark Dacascos, Markus Flanagan, Alexander Wraith, Wolfgang Bodison, Lola Glaudini, Bjorn Johnson, Matthew Willig, and Blair Underwood. It airs Tuesday, Apr. 5, at 9:00pm EST, on ABC.
