The TV show trailer for ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: ‘What If…,’ feature stars Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, and Henry Simmons. Guest stars include Taj Speights, and John Hannah.

After everything that was the last episode, I can understand if some of you fans were left holding your breath. Yeah – don’t do that. Turns out, that level of awesome was meant to hold you over until April; so don’t hold your breath.

Not literally, anyway.

The next installment of Agents goes full Matrix on us; but only if you’re unfamiliar with the titular reference. What If was a Marvel comics concept that allowed creators to explore alternate takes on established characters & stories (DC followed suit with Elseworlds). ‘What If…’ will then be taking us on an alternate universe tour, after the previous episode’s end left us on the far side of a pretty winding rabbit hole.

How would Daisy (Chloe Bennet) & Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) cope with filling their respective spaces, within the Framework? Who’s at the other end of the hyphen, after Fitz (Iain De Caestecker)? Would Coulson (Clark Gregg) be any less interesting as a professor? Could May (Ming-Na Wen) actually be any more dangerous, working for HYDRA? Will SkyWard fans roam the boards of the living once more, plaguing the relevant?

Y’know what – forget I asked. Take that breather, and I’ll see you in the Spring.
