Alien: Covenant Extended Movie Clip

The Alien: Covenant (2017) extended movie clip entitled Prologue: Last Supper, which debuted during the latest episode of Legion, has premiered online. For this clip, the producers of the film choose a scene from the beginning of the film where all of the principal cast are still alive and unafraid. Unlike in other, less thought-out films, these characters are given a semblance of backgrounds and lives before 99% of them are killed off. One. Two. Or three of them at a time. The crew is rather large after all.

The most interesting on-screen presence was the character that was artificially created by man-kind. Seeing Walter (the same model from Prometheus) or David (Michael Fassbender) lurching in the background, somehow fully reconstructed (I am looking forward to that aspect of the film), raised the clip above the ordinary.

The rest of the clip contains jokes, impressive CGI, and all the other hallmarks of a big-budget science fiction without an once of originality.

Alien: Covenant‘s plot synopsis: “Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created, with ALIEN: COVENANT, a new chapter in his groundbreaking ALIEN franchise. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.”

Ridley Scott‘s Alien: Covenant also stars James Franco, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Alexander England, and Benjamin Rigby.
