ANT-MAN (2015): Film Wraps Production

Ant-Man

Ant-Man Wraps Filming and Gets Ready for Summer Release. It’s officially a wrap as Ant-Man finally finishes filming after director Peyton Reed took it upon himself to give the good news on Twitter. The film finished its principal photography that began in August.

It was announced on Twitter on Friday that Peyton Reed finished the last film in Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He tweeted, “And that’s it! Principal photography on ANT-MAN is now complete. The ants have left the building. Stay tuned…” Hopefully the end of that tweet meant that we might see official images from the film and maybe even a trailer. All we can do now is wait in anticipation, as we get closer to Ant-Man’s theatrical release.

Peyton Reed replaced Edgar Wright as director of the upcoming superhero flick back in June after Wright left his duties due to creative differences. The film went into production in August 18th at San Francisco and then moved onto Atlanta. Writer/director Adam McKay was brought into the fold to help contribute to Wright and Joe Cornish’s original script.

Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Judy Greer, and Michael Pena. The film is set to release in theaters July 17, 2015.
