ARROW: Colton Haynes’ Arsenal to Become Temporary Lead

Arsenal Arrow

Arrow to Focus on Colton Haynes’ Arsenal for Three Episodes. After the shocking midseason finale of Arrow, we await the return of our titular hero, but who will take his place? Executive producer Marc Guggenheim revealed that  sidekick Arsenal will be the protector of Starling City for a while.

Speaking with ComicBookMovie, Marc Guggenheim revealed that Arsenal would be taking center stage for the beginning of the latter half of the season. But don’t fret, Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen will still return after his demise against Matt Nable’s Ra’s al Ghul. But when will Oliver return? We don’t have a clue either but Marc explained that while he is recovering, Roy Harper will be stepping in his shoes for a while. Marc later adds:

One of the things I was very straight with Colton [Haynes] about is I don’t think we serviced his character quite as much as we would have liked in the first half of [season 3].   I’ll say the stuff that he’s got in episodes 10, 11, and 12, it’s pretty dang gangbusters. There’s one scene in episode 11 between him and John Barrowman that I think is some of his finest work on the show.

So expect Roy to play a bigger role after Arrow returns from the winter break on January 21. Are you guys excited for Roy’s big step?
