ARROW: David Ramsey Responds to Backlash Regarding His Helmet [The CW]

David Ramsey Costume Arrow Season Four

David Ramsey Addresses to Fan Backlash of His Helmet on Arrow. Fans of Arrow have wanted Diggle to have his own costume since the first season. They finally got what they wanted, but the fans don’t like what they see. But, David Ramsey assures that there’s more than meets the eye.

Fans have not been supportive of Diggle’s new costume that debuts during the fourth season of the The CW hit series. With Diggle starting a family of his own, he needs to conceal his identity to protect them so it makes sense that he would need a costume of his own. But the reveal of his new costume have left many fans shaking their heads with disappointment.

Talking with TV Guide Magazine (via Green Arrow TV), the actor addressed the fans’ criticism and said that there’s more to his costume that hasn’t been touched upon that fans are yet to see.

I like it. I know there’s a lot of criticism that it looks like the Magneto helmet. But by the time you see Diggle in action – we also get into what the helmet can do – you won’t be thinking of the X-Men at all. There is a very cool gun too. The gun and the helmet, by the way, are S.T.A.R. Labs creations.

We shouldn’t judge too quickly on Diggle’s new superhero duds until we see it in action once Arrow’s fourth season debuts in October. What do you guys think? Would you be willing to give the costume another go?
