ARROW: Former WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes to Guest Star on Season Five [The CW]

Stephen Amell Cody Rhodes Heroes and Villains Fan Fest

Wrestler Cody Rhodes to Guest Star on the Fifth Season of Arrow. Stephen Amell and Cody Rhodes have fought in the ring during last year’s SummerSlam event, and it now appears that the two will be doing a round two of sorts when the wrestler guest stars on the new season of Arrow.

The announcement was made during Heroes and Villains Fan Fest when Stephen Amell and Cody Rhodes addressed to a crowd in New Jersey that they will be fighting again on screen in an episode of Arrow. Cody went on to say that, “You can probably expect Stephen and I to get into another fight.” Amell also posted the news on Twitter saying, “Guest starring on #Arrow this fall… Mr. @CodyRhodes”. Even Cody expressed his excitement on his page tweeting, “I step into this respectfully, humbly, and looking to do it justice for the fandom”. No other details were given on what role Cody will play, but it sounds like he may be playing a villain. He will make his appearance during the third episode.

The news comes off of the recent release of Cody Rhodes from the WWE. The wrestler left the company due to creative differences for his alter ego Stardust, which the former superstar grew tired of playing in the ring. Despite not seeing Cody in WWE anytime soon, it’s nice to know that he is looking towards other opportunities, starting with an acting stint on Arrow.

Are you guys looking forward to Cody Rhodes going up against Stephen Amell on Arrow? Who do you think Cody should play as?
