ARROW: John Diggle Suits Up in New Photo [The CW]

David Ramsey Costume Arrow Season Four

John Diggle Shows Off New Costume in Arrow Season Four Photo. It was back in San Diego Comic Con that Oliver’s teammate John Diggle would be having his own costume during season four. Well, this new image of Diggle’s new costume seems to confirm that.

Even though he doesn’t have a superhero persona yet, John Diggle (David Ramsey) has already gotten the costume down with a helmet that resembles Magneto from X-Men. Team Arrow’s right hand man will debut his costume during the season premiere of the The CW series.

Explaining the helmet’s origins, EP Marc Guggenheim told EW at Comic Con that, “One of the things that we started to feel last year… is Diggle’s got a wife [and] daughter. So if he’s going out there surrounded by people in masks and he’s John Diggle, that’s not the greatest idea on his part.”

Guggenheim also revealed that Diggle would wear the costume despite not being a fan of the trend. “We try to be very consistent with our characterization,” Guggenheim said of Diggle’s reaction to the suit. “I don’t think Diggle looks at it as a costume per se,” he clarifies. He also added:

Oliver [Stephen Amell], in the last season, gave him advice in terms of concealing his identity, and so Diggle approaches it from a very practical standpoint. He followed Oliver’s advice and he’s got a means of concealing his identity, but I think Diggle would probably react to anyone calling it a costume.
