ARROW: Katie Cassidy Probably Isn’t Done with the Show Yet [The CW]

Katie Cassidy Isn’t Gone for Good on Arrow

The CW’s DC TV Universe has made elements of fantasy and supernatural a reality, but death appears to be more of a temporary situation. Even on Arrow, we’ve seen people die and come back from the dead literally. In this case, Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) has become part of that trend.

Laurel’s sister Sara has died countless times and been resurrected twice. The fourth season saw Damien Darhk take Laurel’s life, but she hasn’t been gone since then. We got to see Katie Cassidy during the 100th episode in a fantasy sequence and she also got to play her Earth-2 doppelganger the Black Siren who masqueraded as Laurel in order to penetrate Team Arrow for Prometheus. The producers of the show have teased that we may be seeing more Laurel and her moniker Black Canary in different ways.

ComicBook.com attended a Q&A with EP Marc Guggenheim, where he revealed how Laurel would return in the series and the Arrowverse as a whole. The EP basically explained, “We have an idea for how to see her again, but we haven’t made a deal with her yet. She’s not a series regular anymore, so we have to make a contract with her and she’s got to be available, and we haven’t had those conversations. But we do have an idea. We know exactly what we do want to do.”

There are so many places in time and space where Laurel can be taken out. The Flash pretty much proved that theory with the multiverse, so it shouldn’t be a problem. Cassidy seems to be more open to returning as Laurel for a visit, which fans have been okay with. What do you guys think?
