ARROW: Madison McLaughlin To Portray Artemis in Season Five [The CW]

Madison McLaughlin Artemis Arrow

Artemis to Be Played by Madison McLaughlin on Arrow. We last saw troubled teen Evelyn Sharp (Madison McLaughlin) posing as the Black Canary last season, but when she returns for season five, she will be forging a path as a vigilante under a new identity: Artemis.

Variety exclusively reported that actress Madison McLaughlin will be returning to Arrow next season playing DC Comics character Artemis. She first appeared on screen in the season four episode ‘Canary Cry’ where she was seeking revenge on Damien Darhk by impersonating Black Canary after Laurel’s (Katie Cassidy) death. She will be reprising her role as Evelyn Sharp for a few episodes starting with the second episode.

For those not familiar with Artemis, she was the daughter of villains Sportsmaster and Tigress and a member of the Injustice Society. Despite her villainous background, she was also given a heroic one in the DC animated series Young Justice, where she became Green Arrow’s sidekick after Roy Harper left. Even though she wasn’t much of a hero last season, hopefully Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) helps shape her up into one just like he did with Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) and sister Thea (Willa Holland).
