ARROW: Malcolm Merlyn’s Road in Season Four Gets Unveiled [The CW]

John Barrowman Malcolm Merlyn Arrow

Malcolm Merlyn’s Path for Season Four of Arrow is Revealed. If caught up on last season’s finale of Arrow, then you know that Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) has taken over as the new Ra’s Al-Ghul. Here are some details on where he’s headed during the fourth season. After the death or Ra’s Al-Ghul (Matt Nable) by Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), Malcolm Merlyn soon took up the mantle as the new leader of the League of Assassins. Arrow’s former Big Bad will be returning for season four as he reverts to his original self. Malcolm will be “trying to be a good father [to Thea] while also being the very evil, badass Ra’s al Ghul,” EP Wendy Mericle told TVLine. “We want to restore him to more of the Season 1 Malcolm who was going around and messing up Oliver’s plans.”

However, not everyone will be happy that Merlyn will become the new Ra’s, especially Nyssa Al-Ghul (Katrina Law), who was previously suppose to succeed her father after his death. “[Nyssa]’s definitely not going to be on board with Malcolm as Ra’s. We’re hoping to take that in a cool, very fighty-fight orientated direction,” Mericle teased.
