ARROW: Oliver-Sara-Laurel Love Triangle Gets Closure in Season Four [The CW]

Caity Lotz Katie Cassidy Arrow

Arrow To End Love Triangle Between Oliver, Sara, and Laurel. When Arrow first started, there was a love triangle between Oliver Queen and the Lance sisters, but the series quickly evolved and moved on to focus on Olicity. Well, season four will address the storyline and put it to an end.

If you guys have seen the first season, we figure out that Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) had cheated on Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) with her sister Sara (Caity Lotz). It was three seasons where Oliver had jumped between Laurel and Sara, but he finally settled down for a different woman, Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards). However, the love triangle will be addressed during the upcoming fourth season.

EP Wendy Merici told TV Guide that the storyline will show up in order to strengthen the relationship between Laurel and Sara, who will soon transition into her new series DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

[Laurel’s] journey this year is tied a lot to her sister.  We’re excited because the series started with the whole triangle of Oliver and Sara and Laurel.  And with Sara coming back and then moving on to go on her own journey, we have the potential to change the dynamic there in a really positive way for Laurel. [We] kind of put the past to rest.

In the comics, Oliver and Laurel do end up betrothed to one another but the show seems to be heading into another direction as the fandom seems to support Oliver and Felicity’s relationship. So its difficult seeing Oliver ever getting back together with Laurel, unless something happens to Felicity down the road. What do you guys think of this?
