ARROW: Season 3, Episode 20: The Fallen: TV Show Trailer [The CW]

Matt Nable Francoise Yip Arrow The Fallen

TV show trailer for the CW’s Arrow 3.19, The Fallen. If your first thought, regarding the title, was of some supposed ancestor to Decepticons, waiting for the last Prime to die before he can actually have revenge… then you don’t have a problem – we all have a Michael Bay problem. However fast-and-loose Arrow has played with canon mythology, it still ain’t Bayformers. There is still the matter of Arrow co-opting Bat-lore, however; and this week, recent twists have finally brought us the pits.

In what has to be one of the odder takes on the carrot-and-stick approach, Ra’s al Ghul (Matt Nable) has managed to twist Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) arm, regarding that promotion he had been offering him, so Team Arrow (plus one, minus one) gets to road trip to Nanda Parbat.

‘The Fallen’ official synopsis:

Ra’s al Ghul finally makes Oliver an offer he can’t refuse. The team joins Oliver on his journey to Nanda Parbat where a heartbroken Felicity decides to take matters into her own hands.

The title (and trailer) suggests a bit of context, regarding not just this particular low point, for various characters, but also a possible allusion to the state of mind of characters past & present. One canonical aspect, to this pilgrimage, is made quite clear in the trailer – and source fans know well what to expect. My question (in light of what the episode might have to say, about former pit users) is whether one particular fallen will return better, or worse, for it. For some twisted sisters, reanimated rage-aholic might actually wear better.

‘The Fallen’ also features David RamseyEmily Bett Rickards, Katie Cassidy, Paul Blackthorne, John Barrowman, Brandon Routh, Karl YuneFrancoise Yip, and Grant Gustin. It airs Wednesday, April 22, at 8:00pm EST, on the CW
