Assassin’s Creed to Feature Characters From the Game and Releases New Photos. It looks like Assassin’s Creed will be adding more characters into the film adaptation, and these characters are coming straight out of the game and into the movie when it hits theaters this year.

Entertainment Weekly ended up releasing a double-issue revealing some movies coming out this fall, including Assassin’s Creed. The magazine gave some new details and some photos from the film based off of Ubisoft’s best-selling video game franchise. Starring Michael Fassbender as Callum Lynch and his ancestor Aguilar, EW spoke with weapons expert Tim WIldgoose about the design of Aguilar’s artillery, which was heavily inspired by Islamic art and architecture. Wildgoose also revealed that some other weapons in the movie will be used by the characters from the games. “There’s basically a few assassins taken straight from the games, who we get to see in the films. We actually get to use some of the real game weapons in there.”

However, don’t expect any of the main characters from the games to make an appearance. Fans can still expect to see some popular characters that they will recognize from the world of Assassin’s Creed. “They’re not main characters from the games, but they’re very famous characters that the fans will probably enjoy.” The only characters that we know so far who will be taking a leap from the game into the film are Alan Rikkin (Jeremy Irons) and Baptiste (Michael K. Williams). Rikkin originated from the first game while Baptiste comes from the 2012 game Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation.

You can also check out these three images from the film, which features another shot of Fassbender’s Aguilar with the other two showing the weapons and costume being used in the adaptation. Check them out and let us know what you think.
