Sequel to Assassin’s Creed Already in the Works. Assassin’s Creed doesn’t come out till towards the end of the year, but studios New Regency and 20th Century Fox must’ve already liked what they see that they already have plans for a sequel with Michael Fassbender returning.

Although Assassin’s Creed won’t be out until December 21st, both 20th Century Fox and New Regency have shown belief in the movie that reports (via Tracking Board) are suggesting that they are planning a sequel. The upcoming film, starring Michael Fassbender, would have the actor return to reprise his role. Based on the acclaimed video game franchise, the film won’t be a direct adaptation of the game but it will take place in the same universe. The film will run parallel with the events of the games, making it canon in the video game series.

Directed by Justin Kurzel, the film seems to be gaining some positive buzz based on the early photos released. What do you guys think of a sequel? Is it too soon for one since the movie hasn’t been released yet?
