Rocket Raccoon Confirmed To Play Role In Avengers: Infinity War

Guardians of the Galaxy‘s Rocket Raccoon has been confirmed to feature in Marvel‘s upcoming crossover film Avengers: Infinity War.

The announcement was made by none other than Sean Gunn, who provides the motion-capture action that is used to portray the character. While he has undoubtedly been busy working on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the actor has revealed that that film will not be the last time we see the weapon-wielding raccoon. Posting on his Instagram account “thejudgegunn”, Gunn shared a picture of himself holding a mug and explaining that he has started work on a new project, although he “can’t say what it is.” The joke, however, is that the mug bears a never-before-seen Avengers logo and, more tellingly, he is wearing a beanie that reads “Infinity War”, leaving no room for speculation as to what the project is. also shared this about the production:

Gunn’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” co-star Dave Bautista recently opened up about his role in the film, suggesting that there will be a lot of familiar faces in the “Avengers” threequel. “I don’t think anybody who is a current character is not going to be in ‘Infinity War.’ [Laughs] That’s just my opinion. I haven’t gotten confirmation on who all is going to be in the film, but I think that they’re really going to go all-out on this.”
