Sophie Turner cast in Barely Lethal. The casting of Sophie Turner in Barely Lethal (2014) answers the question of who play a key character in the Kyle Newman directed film. Sophie Turner “will play an undercover agent who enrolls in high school to help capture [a] teen [assassin].” Hailee Steinfeld will be playing the 16-year-old assassin “who fakes her own death in pursuit of a ‘normal’ adolescence.” Sounds a little like part of Hit-Girl’s character arc in Kick-Ass 2.
More on the plot of Barely Lethal:
A 16-year-old international assassin yearning for a “normal” adolescence fakes her own death and enrolls as a senior in a suburban high school. She quickly learns that being popular can be more painful than getting water-boarded.
On the people behind the scenes of Barely Lethal: “written by John D’Arco…RKO Pictures, Hopscotch Pictures and Brett Ratner’s Rat Entertainment [will] produce.”
On Sophie Turner:
In her first role in front of a camera, Turner plays Sansa Stark, the eldest daughter of House Stark in the 2011 HBO fantasy TV series Game of Thrones. Her drama teacher encouraged her to audition for the part. She dyed her blonde hair auburn for the role.
Turner will play the main role in the indie thriller film Panda Eyes based on the novel Another Me by Catherine MacPhail, acting alongside Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Claire Forlani, Rhys Ifans, and Geraldine Chaplin. The film began shooting in November 2012 in the United Kingdom as well as in Barcelona, Spain. Panda Eyes will make its North American premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2013.
