BATMAN: Arnold Schwarzenegger Open To Playing Villain Again

Arnold Schwarzenegger Interested In Playing Villain In Future Batman Movie

The Terminator franchise star Arnold Schwarzenegger says that he “absolutely” would like to play a villain in another Batman or other superhero film.

In addition to his iconic role as the nigh-invincible T-800, Schwarzenegger is known for his performances in such memorable 80’s action flicks as Commando, Predator, Running Man, and Total Recall. More recently, he has had major roles in The Last Stand and Maggie as well as the Expendables series, a sort of homage to the kind of movies Schwarzenegger used to star in.

With this in mind, it is hardly surprising that he ended up playing a role in a Batman movie. Unfortunately, the movie in question was Batman & Robin, playing Mr. Freeze for what is regarded by many as the worst entry in the franchise’s entire history.

However, it looks like Schwarzenegger is amenable to revisiting the world of comics in general and the Caped Crusader in particular. Per, the source of this story:

“Absolutely!,” Schwarzenegger told Fandago. “I think all of those movies, if they’re written well, they’re entertaining. If it’s Batman or Batman and Robin, or X-Men or Spider-Man — all of them. If they’re written well, they have a great life. People enjoy them, and you can see the grosses that they make worldwide. So, yes, of course I would.”
