BATMAN: Joe Manganiello Confirmed to Play Deathstroke

Joe Manganiello Deathstroke

Geoff Johns Confirms Joe Manganiello Will Play Deathstroke in Solo Batman Film. It has been teased that master assassin Deathstroke would be appearing in Ben Affleck’s standalone Batman movie. It just so happens that actor Joe Manganiello will be portraying the villain.

Ben Affleck recently tweeted some test footage from the set of Justice League where we saw a glimpse of Slade Wilson/Deathstroke. A new report from The Wall Street Journal has pretty much confirmed that Joe Manganiello will be facing the Dark Knight as the villain in Affleck’s next directorial feature focusing on his character Batman. The article was a profile on Geoff Johns and Jon Berg, who are heads of the DC Films, and Johns seemed to have confirmed the news on this casting.

Joe Mangaiello is no stranger to comic book films as he had played the part of bully Flash Thompson in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy. Let’s not forget that he originally was a runner-up for the role of Superman in Man of Steel before Henry Cavill nabbed the gig. Manganiello acknowledged the news when he retweeted Affleck’s footage. Deathstroke is one of the villains Batman may face in the movie, but we don’t know if we will be seeing other villains from Batman’s gallery in the new film.

What do you guys think of Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke? Is he a good choice for the role?
