Ben Affleck Can Relate to Batman’s Anger. Batman’s been known for channeling out his anger in his fight against crime, which is something Ben Affleck can relate to. Speaking with The Sunday Times, Ben spoke about his own anger issues and how it helps him portray the Caped Crusader.

While talking about his upcoming film Gone Girl, Ben Affleck brought up his next role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He says that he has his own personal battles with anger, which has become useful when playing the Dark Knight.

“I think it’s a necessity, historically, in the tradition of these films,” Affleck said. “For me, anger is so deeply buried and contained that when it does kind of come out, it comes out in stronger bursts. I tend to be respectful, polite, get along, put up with, put up with, put up with… then, when it finally emerges, it’s not something I have a ton of control over. I’m not gonna go into a Wolverine berserker rage, but I do have a, I do… That is an interesting thing that you point out. That’s my personality… By the way, that’s a character flaw, I think. I should sit down and say, ‘Listen, I just want to let you know what happened there wasn’t OK’, instead of going, let it go, let it go, let it go … ‘Ah, that’s not a big deal’, until finally you just pop!”

It seems that Ben Affleck has the right idea of how Batman will be played, but we will know how that works out when he faces off against Henry Cavill’s Superman in the upcoming film.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice also stars Henry Cavill, Laurence Fishburne, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Scoot McNairy, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey, Tao Okamoto, Tj Norris, and Ray Fisher.
