BATMAN V SUPERMAN (2016): Jesse Eisenberg Continues to Tease Lex Luthor

Jesse Eisenberg Lex Luthor Batman v Superman

Jesse Eisenberg Gives More Details on Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman. Jesse Eisenberg has been very open about his character Lex Luthor in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice despite all the secrecy surrounding the film and its gritty details.

Talking with Vulture, Jesse Eisenberg gave a little more info on his portrayal as Superman’s archenemy and how it might turn some heads with the film’s approach. “There is this trove of stuff about this guy. A lot of it’s repetitive, like he always winds up on the roof of his building giving some faux benevolent talk about how he’s going to change the city,” he said. “It’s fun to take that campy cartoony stuff and try to put it into a real person and try to reconcile the two.”

Eisenberg went on to add that this version of Lex Luthor would be different than the past iterations of the character on screen, including Gene Hackman’s version in the 1978 film. “This movie is so different…it has real psychological underpinnings, and this movie character feels like a real scary person.”
