BAYWATCH (2017) Red Band Movie Trailer: The Lifeguard Pursuit Team is Funnier Than Ever

Paramount Pictures has released the international red band movie trailer for Baywatch (2017). Paramount is pulling out all of the laugh stops with the latest U.K. trailer for Baywatch. Unlike the TV series on which this film adaptation is based, Baywatch does not take itself seriously at all. This is the film’s strength and its weakness. There is a scene in this red band trailer where Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron see suspicious activity transpiring on a boast 30-to-70 feet away from them. Instead of immediately calling the police, taking pictures, or make HD recordings with their cell phones, they decide to investigate what they just saw as if they were police detectives with the authority to do so.

Baywatch is destined to be featured on CinemaSins. You can see the sins already: why didn’t they call the police and report what they saw? Why didn’t they take pictures of it, etc.

A film like Baywatch is not a film that someone is supposed to put much thought into when watching it (if any thought at all). It’s popcorn, disposable, I get that. As a popcorn film, Baywatch seems as though it excels.
