THE BFG (2016) Movie Trailer 3: Giant World, Giant Heart, Giant Villains

Rebecca Hall Mark Rylance The BFG

The BFG Trailer 3Steven Spielberg‘s The BFG (2016) movie trailer stars Ruby Barnhill, Rebecca HallMark RylanceBill Hader, and Jemaine ClementThe BFG‘s plot synopsis: “A girl named Sophie encounters the Big Friendly Giant who, despite his intimidating appearance, turns out to be a kindhearted soul who is considered an outcast by the other giants because unlike his peers refuses to eat boys and girls.”

Whereas The BFG‘s previous trailer and teaser have included snippets of Sophie and the BFG, this trailer finally answers some questions about the film’s plot and conflicts. This surprisingly dark trailer brings the relationship between Sophie and the BFG to the forefront, playing up their unlikely bond, which forms despite Sophie’s fears and stays strong despite the BFG’s problems with the other child-eating giants. This trailer gives us a glimpse of where the heart of this film will be: we’ll surely consider wishes and dreams, even the scary ones, and unlikely friends who stand beside each other no matter what.
