Black Panther Trailer 2

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures has released the second movie trailer for Black Panther (2018). The first trailer for Black Panther was all about beautiful imagery that told a interesting but hard to decipher story. The second trailer for Black Panther has the same beautiful imagery but now the viewer can see the plot for the film play out instead of just reading it in the official plot synopsis.

I really like what was done with Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis) in this film following his brief moments in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Seeing Wakandan Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) free Klaue makes their entire collaboration clear.

Also made clear, something that should not have been ruined in the trailer, was the presence of two Black Panthers in the film instead of one. Why show that? Why not save that for a surprise in the film? People were already going to see the film. Showing that didn’t make the trailer better. The trailer was already filled with the gravity-defying antics of one VFX Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman).

Black Panther‘s plot synopsis: “‘Black Panther’ follows T’Challa who, after the events of “Captain America: Civil War,” returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.”

Ryan Coogler‘s Black Panther also stars Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Forest Whitaker, Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Winston Duke, Martin Freeman, and Daniel Kaluuya.
