Ben Younger’s Bleed For This (2016) movie trailer stars Miles Teller, Katey Sagal, Ciarán Hinds, Aaron Eckhart, and Ted Levine. Bleed For This‘ plot synopsis: “The inspirational story of World Champion Boxer Vinny Pazienza (Miles Teller), who after a near fatal car crash, which left him not knowing if he’d ever walk again, made one of sports most incredible comebacks.”

I am not a boxing fan but this film looks gripping. I had never even heard of Vinny Pazienza until this film was announced. “Vinny Pazienza was a five-time world boxing champion” with the nickname “The Pazmanian Devil.” Like Whiplash, this film looks like a star making role for Teller, who transforms himself physically into a boxer.

Through the injury that Pazienza endures, the viewer gets to see part of that transformation right before their eyes.

Bleed For This also stars Kimberly Howe, Amanda Clayton, Christine Evangelista, Allie Marshall, Stephanie McIntyre, Liz Carey, Portland Helmich, Julie Ann Dawson, Gia Skova, and Dante Palminteri.
