Box Office August 22-24, 2014. Guardians of the Galaxy was Number One at the box office with $17.6 Million for $251.8 Million so far. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was Second with $16.8 Million for $145.6 Million so far. If I Stay premiered in Third Place with $16.3 Million. Let’s Be Cops was Fourth Place with $11 Million. When the Game Stands Tall premiered in Fifth Place with $9 Million. The Giver, The Expendables 3, Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (which premiered this weekend), The Hundred-Foot Journey, and Into The Storm rounded out the top ten respectively.

If I Stay is an American drama film directed by R. J. Cutler, based on the novel of the same name by Gayle Forman. The film stars Chloë Grace Moretz, Mireille Enos, Jamie Blackley, Joshua Leonard, Stacy Keach, and Aisha Hinds.

When the Game Stands Tall is a 2014 sports drama film. The film, which stars Jim Caviezel as Coach Bob Ladouceur, Laura Dern as Bev Ladouceur, Michael Chiklis as assistant coach Terry Eidson and Alexander Ludwig as running back Chris Ryan, is about the record-setting 151-game 1992–2003 high school football winning streak by De La Salle High School of Concord, California. The film is an adaptation of the 2003 book of the same name by Neil Hayes, published by North Atlantic Books.

Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is a 2014 American crime thriller film and sequel to the 2005 film Sin City. Co-directed by Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller, the script is written by Miller, and is primarily based on the second book in the Sin City series by Miller.

One of the smaller plots of the film is based on the short story “Just Another Saturday Night”, which is collected in Booze, Broads, & Bullets, the sixth book in the comic series. Two original stories (“The Long Bad Night” and “Nancy’s Last Dance”) were created exclusively for the film written by Miller.

The film stars an ensemble cast including returning cast members Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Jude Ciccolella, Powers Boothe, Mickey Rourke, and Bruce Willis. Newcomers to the series include Eva Green, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Brolin, Jamie Chung, Dennis Haysbert, Marton Csokas, Christopher Lloyd, Julia Garner, Juno Temple, Ray Liotta, Stacy Keach, Christopher Meloni, Alexa PenaVega, Lady Gaga, Jeremy Piven and Crystal McCahill.
