Box Office December 26-28, 2014. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies was Number One at the box office for the second weekend in a row with $41.4 Million for $168.5 Million so far. Unbroken was Second with $31.7 Million. Into the Woods was Third with $31 Million. Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb was Fourth with $20 Million. Annie was Fifth with $16.6 Million. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, The Gambler (which premiered this weekend), The Imitation Game, Exodus: Gods and Kings, and Wild rounded out the top ten respectively.

Unbroken is a 2014 American war drama film, produced and directed by Angelina Jolie, and based on the 2010 non-fiction book by Laura Hillenbrand Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption. The film revolves around the life of USA Olympian and athlete Louis “Louie” Zamperini, portrayed by Jack O’Connell. Zamperini, who died on July 2, 2014, at the age of 97, survived in a raft for 47 days after his bomber was downed in WWII, and was sent to a series of prisoner of war camps.

Into the Woods is a 2014 American musical fantasy comedy-drama film produced by Walt Disney Pictures. It is directed by Rob Marshall, and adapted to the screen by James Lapine from his and Stephen Sondheim’s Tony Award–winning Broadway musical of the same name. It features an ensemble cast that is led by Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, James Corden, Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine, and Johnny Depp. Inspired by the Grimm Brothers’ fairy tales of “Little Red Riding Hood”, “Cinderella”, “Jack and the Beanstalk”, and “Rapunzel”, the film is a fantasy genre crossover centered on a childless couple, who set out to end a curse placed on them by a vengeful witch.

The Gambler is an American crime drama film directed by Rupert Wyatt. The screenplay by William Monahan is based on the 1974 film of the same name written by James Toback. The remake [stars] Mark Wahlberg as the titular gambler
