Box Office Feb. 12-14, 2016. Deadpool premiered in the Number One Spot at the box office over the weekend for $132.7 Million. Over the four day weekend, Deadpool made $150 Million. Deadpool exceeded all expectations where many saw the film at maxing at $60 Million last weekend. Deadpool‘s premiere weekend was record-breaking. World-wide, Deadpool brought in $264.8 Million. Deadpool‘s box office also made it the number one Fox opening film in history, best R-rated opening in history, best February, and winter opening as well. Kung Fu Panda 3 was Second with $19.8 Million. How to Be Single premiered in Third Place with $17.9 Million. Zoolander 2 premiered in Fourth Place with $13.9 Million. The Revenant was Fifth with $6.6 Million for $158.8 Million so far. Hail, Caesar!, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The Choice, Ride Along 2, and The Boy rounded out the top ten respectively.

Deadpool is a 2016 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is the eighth installment in the X-Men film series. The film is directed by Tim Miller, with a screenplay by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, and stars Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T. J. Miller, Gina Carano, Brianna Hildebrand, Stefan Kapicic, and Leslie Uggams. The film follows Wade Wilson who, after being subjected to an experiment that leaves him with new abilities, hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
