Box Office Jan. 1-3, 2016. Star Wars: The Force Awakens was Number One at the box office over the weekend for the third week in a row with $88.3 Million for $740.2 Million so far. World-wide, Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens has brought in over $1.51 Billion. Daddy’s Home was Second for the second week in a row with $29 Million. The Hateful Eight was Third with $16.2 Million. Sisters was Fourth for the second week in a row with $12.5 Million so far. Alvin and the Chipmunks The Road Chip was Fifth for the second week in a row with $11.8 Million. Joy, The Big Short, Concussion, Point Break, and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 rounded out the top ten respectively.
