Box Office January 11-13, 2013. Zero Dark Thirty premiered in the Number One spot at the box office over the weekend with $24 Million. A Haunted House premiered in Second Place with $18.8 Million. Gangster Squad premiered in Third Place with $16.7 Million. Django Unchained was Fourth with $11 Million for $125.3 Million so far. Les Miserables was Fifth with $10.1 Million for $119.2 Million so far. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Lincoln, Parental Guidance, Texas Chainsaw 3D, and Silver Linings Playbook rounded out the top ten respectively.

A Haunted House is a comedy horror spoof film directed by Michael Tiddes and starring Marlon Wayans. It was released on January 11, 2013. The film is a parody of the “found footage” genre, such as the Paranormal Activity franchise and The Devil Inside.

Gangster Squad is a crime film directed by Ruben Fleischer, from a screenplay written by Will Beall, starring an ensemble cast that includes Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Nick Nolte, Emma Stone, and Sean Penn.

Based on the story of LAPD officers and detectives forming a group called the “Gangster Squad unit” who attempt to keep Los Angeles safe from Mickey Cohen and his gang during the 1940s and ’50s.
