Box Office: July 19-21, 2013: THE CONJURING, DESPICABLE ME 2, TURBO

Box Office July 19-21, 2013. The Conjuring premiered in the Number One at the box office with $41.5 Million. Despicable Me 2 was Second with $25 Million for $276 Million so far. Turbo premiered in Third Place with $21.5 Million. Grown Ups 2 was Fourth with $20 Million. Red 2 premiered in Fifth Place with $18.5 Million. Pacific Rim, R.I.P.D. (which premiered this weekend), The Heat, World War Z, and Monsters University rounded out the top ten respectively.

The Conjuring is a 2013 American supernatural horror film directed by James Wan. The film stars Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson as Ed and Lorraine Warren, paranormal investigators who come to the assistance of the Perron family (Ron Livingston and Lili Taylor), who are experiencing increasingly disturbing events in their farmhouse in Harrisville, Rhode Island in 1971.

Turbo is a 2013 American 3D computer-animated sports comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by 20th Century Fox. It is based on an original idea by David Soren, who also directed the film. The film features an ordinary garden snail whose dream to become the fastest snail in the world comes true. The film was released on July 17, 2013.

Along with Ryan Reynolds, who stars as the eponymous character, the film also features Paul Giamatti, Michael Peña, Snoop Dogg, Maya Rudolph, Michelle Rodriguez and Samuel L. Jackson.

RED 2 is a 2013 American action comedy film and sequel to the 2010 film RED. It was inspired by the limited comic book series of the same name, created by Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner, and published by the DC Comics imprint Homage. The film stars Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Lee Byung-hun, Anthony Hopkins, and Helen Mirren, with Dean Parisot directing a screenplay by Jon and Erich Hoeber.

R.I.P.D. is a 2013 American supernatural film directed by Robert Schwentke, based on the comic book Rest in Peace Department by Peter M. Lenkov and published by Dark Horse Entertainment. The film stars Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges as Nick Walker and Roy Pulsipher, respectively.
