Box Office July 6-8, 2012. The Amazing Spider-Man premiered in the Number One spot at the box office over the weekend with $65 Million for $140 Million so far. Ted was Second with $39.1 Million for $120.2 Million so far. Brave was Third with $20.1 Million for $174.5 Million so far. Savages premiered in Fourth Place with $16.1 Million. Magic Mike was Fifth with $15.6 Million. Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Witness Protection, Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted, Katy Perry: Part of Me, Moonrise Kingdom, and To Rome with Love rounded out the top ten respectively.

The Amazing Spider-Man is a 2012 American superhero film directed by Marc Webb, based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. It is a reboot of the Spider-Man film franchise, portraying the character’s origin story and his development into a superhero while still a high school student. The film stars Andrew Garfield in the title role as Spider-Man/Peter Parker, with Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy and Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors.

Savages is a 2012 American action thriller film directed by Oliver Stone. It is based on the novel of the same name by Don Winslow. The screenplay was written by Shane Salerno, Winslow and Stone. The film was released on July 6, 2012, and features an ensemble cast including Taylor Kitsch, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Blake Lively, Salma Hayek, Benicio del Toro and John Travolta.
