Box Office March 21-23, 2014Divergent premiered in the Number One Spot at the box office over the weekend with $56 Million. Muppets Most Wanted premiered Second Place with $16.5 Million. Mr. Peabody & Sherman was Third with $11.7 Million. 300: Rise of An Empire was Fourth with $8.6 Million. God’s Not Dead premiered in Fifth Place with $8.5 Million. Need for Speed, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Non-Stop, The LEGO Movie, and Tyler Perry’s The Single Moms Club rounded out the top ten respectively.

Divergent is a 2014 American science fiction action film directed by Neil Burger, based on the novel of the same name by Veronica Roth. The film is produced by Lucy Fisher, Pouya Shabazian and Douglas Wick, with a screenplay by Evan Daugherty and Vanessa Taylor. It stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Zoë Kravitz, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, Jai Courtney, Miles Teller, and Kate Winslet. The story takes place in a dystopian post-apocalyptic version of Chicago.

Muppets Most Wanted is a 2014 American caper musical comedy film produced by Walt Disney Pictures. Directed by James Bobin and written by Bobin and Nicholas Stoller, the film—the eighth theatrical film featuring the Muppets—is a sequel to 2011’s The Muppets and stars Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell, and Tina Fey. In Muppets Most Wanted, the Muppets find themselves unwillingly involved in an international crime caper while on tour in Europe.

The majority of the production team behind The Muppets returned for Muppets Most Wanted including Bobin, Stoller, producers David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman of Mandeville Films, and music supervisor Bret McKenzie.

God’s Not Dead is a 2014 Christian drama film based on the book of the same name by Rice Broocks and the song “Like a Lion” originally written by Daniel Bashta. The film is directed by Harold Cronk, and stars Shane Harper, Kevin Sorbo, Jim Gleason, David A.R. White, Marco Khan and Dean Cain.
