Box Office May 16-18, 2014. Godzilla premiered in the Number One Spot at the box office over the the weekend with $93 Million. Neighbors was Second with $25.9 Million. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was Third with $16.8 Million for $172.1 Million. Million Dollar Arm premiered in Fourth Place with $10.5 Million. The Other Woman was Fifth with $6.3 Million. Heaven is for Real, Rio 2, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return, and Moms’ Night Out rounded out the top ten respectively.

Godzilla is a 2014 American science fiction monster film directed by Gareth Edwards. The film is a reboot of the Godzilla film franchise. The film retells the origins of Godzilla in contemporary times as a “terrifying force of nature”, depicted in a style faithful to the Toho series of Godzilla films. The film is directed by Gareth Edwards, and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins, David Strathairn, and Bryan Cranston. The screenplay is credited to Max Borenstein but includes contributions from David Callaham, David S. Goyer, Drew Pearce, and Frank Darabont.

The film is a co-production between Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures. Warner Bros. will also distribute the film worldwide, except in Japan where it will be distributed by Toho. It is the second Godzilla film to be fully filmed by an American studio, the first being the 1998 film of the same name.

Million Dollar Arm is a 2014 American biographical sports drama film directed by Craig Gillespie from a screenplay written by Tom McCarthy. The film is based on the true story of baseball pitchers Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel who were discovered by sports agent J.B. Bernstein after winning a reality show competition. The film stars Jon Hamm as Bernstein, Bill Paxton as pitching coach Tom House, Suraj Sharma as Singh, Madhur Mittal as Patel, and Alan Arkin. The film’s music is composed by A.R. Rahman. Produced by Joe Roth, Mark Ciardi, and Gordon Gray for Walt Disney Pictures
