Box Office September 26-28, 2014. The Equalizer premiered in the Number One spot at the box office over the weekend with $35 Million. The Maze Runner was Second with $17.5 Million. The Boxtrolls premiered in Third Place with $17.2 Million. This is Where I Leave You was Fourth with $7 Million. Dolphin Tale 2 was Fifth with $4.8 Million. No Good Deed, A Walk Among the Tombstones, Guardians of the Galaxy, Let’s Be Cops, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles rounded out the top ten respectively.

The Equalizer is a 2014 American action film directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by Richard Wenk, based on the television series of same name, which starred Edward Woodward. The film stars Denzel Washington, Marton Csokas, Chloë Grace Moretz, David Harbour, Haley Bennett, Bill Pullman, and Melissa Leo.

The Boxtrolls is a 2014 American 3D stop motion animated fantasy-comedy film based on the novel Here Be Monsters! by Alan Snow. Produced by Laika, it was directed by Graham Annable and Anthony Stacchi. The Boxtrolls follows the adventures of Eggs, a human boy raised by trash-collecting trolls, as he attempts to save them from Archibald Snatcher, a pest exterminator. The film stars Isaac Hempstead-Wright, Ben Kingsley, Elle Fanning, Toni Collette, Jared Harris, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Richard Ayoade and Tracy Morgan.
