Box Office: Aug. 22-24, 2008

Tropic Thunder was Number One at the box office for the second week in a row this weekend with $16.1 Million. The House Bunny, which premiered this weekend, was Second with $15.1 Million. Also premiering this weekend was Death Race in Third Place for $12.2 Million. In Fourth Place was The Dark Knight, adding another $10.3 Million to its coffers for a total of $489.1 Million. In about two more weeks, The Dark Knight should reach $500 Million. Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Pineapple Express, Mirrors, The Longshots (which premiered this weekend), Mamma Mia! and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor rounded out the top ten respectively.
