Hitman Craig Fairbrass Loses Control in Breakdown. Jonnie Malachi‘s Breakdown (2014) has released a detailed plot synopsis for the upcoming crime drama. In addition to the synopsis, we also now know who is playing the main character and who the other actors in the film are.

British acting heavyweights Craig Fairbrass (The Outsider, Devil’s Playground), James Cosmo (Braveheart, Trainspotting) and Mem Ferda (Plastic, Pusher) have completed filming on Jonnie Malachi’s debut feature BREAKDOWN.

BREAKDOWN which journeys us into the tormented mind of a professional contract killer, Alfie Jennings (Craig Fairbrass), trying to come to terms with visions of a vicious past which escalates out of control, resulting in both his work being compromised and his closest and dearest being subject to severe danger. Reaching breaking point, Alfie is forced to battle against all odds to save his family and his sanity..

BREAKDOWN also features Hollyoaks star Emmett Scanlan and Pudsey: The Movie actress Olivia Grant. Tamer Hassan (The Business) also makes a cameo appearance.

The film is written and directed by Jonnie Malachi and was shot on locations in and around London, Docklands and Essex.

The producer Luke Fairbrass of Screen 360 is reported to of said that for his first debut feature he feels he is ‘very fortunate to be working on such a quality script with an all star cast’. He went on to say that ‘the commercial appeal of the story would be perfectly placed for a mainstream audience’.

A trailer for BREAKDOWN will be available for Cannes.
