Bright Trailer 2

David Ayer‘s Bright (2017) movie trailer 2 stars Will Smith, Joel Edgerton, Noomi Rapace, Kenneth Choi, and Brad William Henke. Bright‘s plot synopsis: “Set in a world where mystical creatures live side by side with humans. A human cop is forced to work with an Orc to find a weapon everyone is prepared to kill for.”

The teaser trailer for this Bright was not very bedazzling. It was okay but nothing special. The second Bright trailer informs the viewer that Bright is something unusual yet familiar and very possibly, special. Where Bright is something unusual and possibly special are the fairy tale creatures that inhabit every facet of human society in its narrative. The other element in that equation is the hunt for the magic wand. The magic wand is a great narrative element, something that attracts the attention of everyone, turning good people bad, and the bad even worse than they already were.

The familiar element in Bright is the integration of an “alien” race into human police departments across the Unites States. This is very similar to the Alien Nation movie, TV series, and the TV movies that followed. The twist in Bright is that the “aliens” aren’t off-worlders but seem to be multiple groups of humanoids and mythical creatures that have existed in the shadows of the world for centuries.

Bright also stars Lucy Fry, Edgar Ramírez, Ike Barinholtz, Brandon Larracuente, Dawn Olivieri, Andrea Navedo, Alex Meraz, Laura Vallejo, Chris Browning, and Matt Gerald.
