BURNT (2015) Movie Poster & Teaser Trailer: Bradley Cooper Plays Chef

Burnt Poster & Teaser Released

Burnt Movie Poster Teaser Trailer Released. John Wells‘ Burnt (2015) teaser trailer stars Bradley Cooper. Burnt‘s plot synopsis: “Adam Jones is a Chef who destroyed his career with drugs and diva behavior. He cleans up and returns to London, determined to redeem himself by spearheading a top restaurant that can gain three Michelin stars.”

Strangely enough, this is the first I’ve heard of the new Bradley Cooper starring, Steven Knight-penned film, and it seems like they’re ready to release this already. Weird, when I’m not acutely aware of all the promising projects in development. It’s kind of rewarding.

According to ScreenCrush, “Actually, Favreau’s film is the reason why Cooper’s new film underwent a title change from The Chef to Adam Jones (briefly) before it settled on Burnt. David Fincher was in talks to direct the project at one point, and the brief visuals of precise food preparation and the sharp, talky dialogue give you a sense of what may have attracted him to the film. After Fincher backed out, Derek Cianfrance (The Place Beyond the Pines) was in talks to direct before the film landed John Wells (August: Osage County).”

There isn’t much to see, but what there is, looks great. Cooper has the right erratic but focused energy here, a chef who isn’t fucking around. I’m excited to see more, but for now we’ll have to settle on this Today Show Segment that hosts the teaser within. You get to watch an advertisement and listen to four horny women giggle at Cooper probably being a fun guy to have sex with. Enjoy.

The poster is minimal, simple, and tells me enough. I like it.

I grew up in Hamburg to a German father and Ecuadorian mother. Obsessive student of film, Hip-Hop, and stand-up comedy. I love the dark dreambox that is the cinema auditorium. I love mountains and the ocean, but am equally exhilarated by the jungle of the city. I hope to one day create something that hits someone in the brain with thunderous effect.
