CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR (2016): Daniel Bruhl Comfirms Playing Baron Helmut Zemo

Daniel Bruhl to Play Baron Helmut Zemo in Captain America: Civil War. It was already known that Baron Zemo is the villain that Daniel Bruhl would play in Captain America: Civil War. Well, the actor finally confirmed it and he also revealed which version he would be playing.

With principal photography to begin this week, the Spanish-German actor opened up about the role when he chatted with The Independent. “I think I can tell you that without being thrown into Marvel prison,” Brühl told the outlet. “For the first few days I’ll walk around like a little boy, just amazed by the megalomania of it. It’s such a huge project. We could do 20 films with the budget.”

In the comics, Baron Helmut Zemo is the father of Baron Heinrich Zemo, a Nazi scientist who worked under Hydra. With his father killed at the hands of Captain America, Helmut Zemo goes on a vengeance to kill the superhero and recreate his father’s work back in the war.
