CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR (2016): Elizabeth Olsen Discusses Scarlet Witch’s Role in Film

Elizabeth Olsen Avengers Age of Ultron Set

Elizabeth Olsen Talks About Scarlet Witch’s Role in Captain America: Civil War. With Scarlet Witch becoming part of the Avengers after Avengers: Age of Ultron, what would be her role in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War? Elizabeth Olsen weighs in on that and more.

Elizabeth Olsen shared some good details with MTV News on how her powers have grown since Avengers: Age of Ultron. We already know that she will be on Captain America’s team from the set pics, but she wasn’t shown in the promo art due to legal issues with Fox. Here’s what Olsen had to say on her character’s absence from that:

She’s OK. She’s doing alright. She’s confused, she’s conflicted. She’s found some people she thinks she connects with, but she’s doing alright. They released images of Team Cap and Team Iron Man. She wasn’t there. She’s always the wild card. I like being the wild card.

There are some rumors going around that Scarlet Witch may become partly responsible for whatever disaster prompts the government to release a Superhuman Registration Act in the upcoming movie. However, Olsen could be also hinting that Wanda may end up switching sides. We won’t know for sure until the movie comes out. As for how advanced her powers will be, Olsen corroborated that she has been working with her Avengers: Age of Ultron movement coach Jennifer White in order to show these changes. “It’s not a new hand technique per say. We’re trying to grow her movement as a whole… Jenny and I have great pride in trying to make this a huge transformation — the next time we see her — of her abilities.”

Are you guys excited to see what’s in store for Scarlet Witch when Captain America: Civil War comes out in theaters May 6, 2016?
