Speaking with Dish Nation, the actress said in an interview that she doesn’t know if she returns but is open to the idea of bringing Potts back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “I don’t know; I’ve heard rumors that maybe, and I don’t know,” the Iron Man 3 actress said. “My fingers are crossed. The last time we saw Pepper Potts was in Robert Downey Jr.’s last Marvel film Iron Man 3. We won’t be seeing her during the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron, but hopefully her absence will be pointed out in the film. Despite her character not having a big role in the Civil War comic book storyline, she was married to Happy Hogan in the books. Obviously the film will be taking a different approach, so maybe Gwyneth Paltrow will be able to do something for the film because she also happens to be the CEO of Stark Industries.

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Captain America: Civil War also stars Chris Evans, Chadwick Boseman, Sebastian Stan, and Daniel Bruhl, The film is scheduled to release on May 6, 2016.
