CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR (2016): Super Bowl 50 (L) TV Spot: Heroes Must Choose a Side

Captain America: Ciivl War Super Bowl TV Spot

Captain America: Civil War TV Commercial. Anthony and Joe Russo’s Captain America: Civil War (2016) Super Bowl 50 (L) TV spot stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey, Jr., Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Chadwick Boseman, and Scarlett Johansson.

Captain America: Civil War has released a TV spot just in time for the Super Bowl, and a lot of things went down in these 42 seconds. The trailer starts with Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans) coming out of a bunker that seems to be holding his old pal Bucky (Sebastian Stan). It’s not clear if Steve has found out where Bucky is or if he is just checking in with him. Bucky doesn’t seem too excited being inside that machine after seeing the video. The trailer continues with a shot with Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) flying into a building as Falcon. There’s also reused footage of the military confronting Captain America and Bucky as he is taken into custody.

There’s also some new footage in the trailer showing Tony (Robert Downey, Jr.) activating his watch to reveal part of Iron Man’s armor as he stops a bullet fired by Bucky. This seems eerily similar to his Extremis armor from the comics. Seeing Tony’s face pretty much explains a bit on why he thinks Bucky needs to be taken in. We get to see Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) as she watches explosions over an airfield at the Leipzig Airport in Germany. It all culminates into this one epic shot of both sides of this upcoming Civil War. On one side, we have Cap, Bucky, Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Falcon, Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd). In the other side, we have Iron leading a team including War Machine (Don Cheadle), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Vision (Paul Bettany), and Black Widow. This is one battle we can’t wait!
