CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER (2011): What did you think?

Now that you have seen it, what did you think of Captain America: The First Avenger? This summer has seen a gaggle of superhero films e.g. X-Men: First Class, Thor, Green Lantern. How does Captain America: The First Avenger stack up against them? Is it better than them, the same or not as good? I personally thought the beginnings of X-Men: First Class and Captain America: The First Avenger were better than the entirety of Green Lantern. None of the films kept the momentum they established in the beginning but that is just my view. What is yours?

Some people, like Sami Jarroush in the video below, believe Captain America: The First Avenger is the best of this summer’s superhero films. I’m on the fence about that. The video also talks about the first Captain America film and the black and white Captain America serials.

Captain America: The First Avenger was directed by Joe Johnston and stars Chris Evans, Hugo Weaving, Hayley Atwell, Dominic Cooper, Toby Jones, Neal McDonough, Derek Luke, Tommy Lee Jones, Sebastian Stan, and Samuel L. Jackson.

Hayley Atwell’s character in the film was actually more dynamic than I initially thought she would be. What did you think of Hayley Atwell’s skill with a side arm in Captain America: The First Avenger?
