Frank Grillo casting in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) answers the question of who will play Crossbones (Brock Rumlow) in the  Anthony Russo and Joe Russo directed film. “Normally a henchman of Red Skull, Crossbones (aka Brock Rumlow) led the Savage Crims gang in New York’s lower East Side before joining a school for criminals. Later he worked under Red Skull and was believed to be behind Cap’s assassination in the comics.”

Captain America: The Winter Soldier‘s plot synopsis: “Described as a political thriller, Marvel Studios’ “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” will pick-up where the highly anticipated film “Marvel’s The Avengers” leaves off, as Steve Rogers continues his affiliation with Nick Fury and the peacekeeping organization S.H.I.E.L.D, and struggles to embrace his role in the modern world.”
